Veteran Poetry Challenge: Suicide Awareness Month, Never Alone

Never Alone

Chainsaw wails

like the call to prayer,

cherry bomb

explosion inside my mind,

I see the sign

Madison, Iraq,

This was never going to work out

like I planned,

Time to let it go…

If you or someone you know feels this way, you are not alone.

Reach out

Veteran’s Crisis Line   1-800-273-8255, press 1, confidential 24/7 crisis line that links vets to help at the VA Hospitals and Clinics

If you’re a friend or family member and you know someone in trouble:

Reach out

Be the one who says and keeps saying,

“We can get you some help”

Please join me. Forward me your original poetry or photographs and I would love to share them, with full credit to you, at blogground.
