Crunchy dead thing in the middle of the road

curled into a perfect O,

soft underbelly inside,

fuzzy little outer coat

familiar rust and black

tiny soft spikes

to minimize your attraction as bird food,

suddenly revived

your dozen tiny feet tickle

on my hand as I carry you to safety,

kool-aid orange Tiger moth to be

Wooly Bear Rescue.
